Clinical Effectiveness Research

The research group conducts large randomized and epidemiological studies to evaluate the effects of various diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Established in 2012 by Mette Kalager and Michael Bretthauer, Clinical Effectiveness Research is a dynamic research group conducting world-class studies. The main focus is to evaluate the impact of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in healthcare. The group conducts randomized trials with over 300,000 participants, observational studies using patient data from medical records and registry linkages, and develops innovative statistical methods.

Our mission is to break barriers and challenge established truths. We actively recruit both emerging and experienced top researchers. Collaboration is at the heart of our work, fostering a free exchange of knowledge and ideas. As a result, our projects thrive on strong teamwork.
